The village Salgesch
Salgesch developed from a farming village after the Second World War to the modern wine village of today. More than 200 hectares of vineyards and over 40 wine farms characterise the present village image. The neighbouring Pfynnwald not only serves the Salgesch and other surrounding communities as a local recreation area, but is also one of the best preserved natural and cultural landscapes in Switzerland. The protected area offers a variety of different and rare habitats for different animal and plant species, for which it is valued supra-regionally.

The family business was founded in 1956 by Fernand Cina in Salgesch. In 1987 the brothers Manfred and Damian could take over the growing winery from their father. Through a lot of hard work and care in the vineyards, passion and love for the grapes, the work has been rewarded in the last years. Many wines have been crowned with national and international awards.
