The village Fläsch
Fläsch is the northernmost municipality of the Bündner Herrschaft and borders on the canton of St. Gallen and the Principality of Liechtenstein. The village is situated on the right side of the Chur Rhine Valley on the foot of the Fläscherberge and the Luzisteig, away from the main thoroughfares. It borders on Maienfeld, Bad Ragaz to the west and Balzers in the Principality of Liechtenstein to the north.
In good southern exposure, an excellent grape grows on the debris cones of the mountain. The "oldest bottle", the Föhn, ensures its optimal ripeness in autumn.
16 wineries cultivate 48 hectares of vineyards and produce their own wines.

The family business is run by Andrea Davaz, his wife Marianne Davaz and his two sons Luca and Micha Davaz.

The winery
The DAVAZ winery is the result of the merger of estates from 1966 - 1978. In 1972 the first vines were planted in the new vineyard and only four years later the parents Hans and Annemarie with their five children moved out of the village of Fläsch and into the newly built grapevine settlement of Davaz, located between Fläsch and Maienfeld.
The winery developed well. Today the Davaz winery cultivates 13 ha of vines, 70% of which are Pinot Noir grapes and 30% are white grape varieties such as Riesling Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay.

The wine cellar was rebuilt and enlarged in 2012-2014. At Winery Davaz about 80,000 bottles of Davaz wines are bottled annually.

At the Davaz winery you can expect an exciting tour through the winery (vines, bottling, wine cellar, barrique cellar and tasting room) - afterwards you can look forward to a tasting of our Davaz wines. In addition to the Davaz wines from Fläsch, the company also offers the Italian wines from Johannes Davaz (brother of Andrea Davaz) from the Poggio al Sole winery, which can also be enjoyed. Fine delicacies from Graubünden await you for tasting, whereby the famous Maienfeld Salsiz must not be missing.
