Winery on the lake
The Bachmann family vineyard is situated on the slopes above Lake Zurich, which gives the region its unique climate and makes the wines so special.
From up here, you can see the sun rising and every day you are amazed by this unique view. The daily route takes the winegrowers along the shore to their Vineyards. The 10 hectares of vineyards cover the municipalities of Stäfa, Hombrechtikon and Mönchaltorf. Among them are well-known sites like the Lattenberg in Stäfa and the Schlatterhalde in Feldbach.

Jonathan is a trained wine technologist and has gained experience in top wineries such as Davaz in Graubünden, Hofstätter in South Tyrol or Creation in South Africa.

Martin Bachmann is the founder of the winery and a real character who is known beyond the lake for his humour and his wine tastings.

Classifications
The Bachmanns attach great importance to the grape varieties typical for the area, which are ideally suited to the unique climate. But they are equally attracted to the demanding varieties such as Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, grown in the best locations.
The family works according to its own strict quality standards and divides the wines into three categories. The light and fresh lake wines, the wines full of character and characterised by their Mountain wines and the reserve wines produced only in special years, a selection of the best barrels of a vintage.

The barrique cellar was created especially for the great wines; here they mature in selected barrels and are stored under optimal conditions.

At our winery in Stäfa, our guests learn everything about sustainable viticulture, the special climate at the lake, the gentle winemaking and of course our philosophy with a walk through the vines. Together we taste our wines and combine them with a cold platter from the region. Because that's our passion: good wines, good food, good company
