Elite Flights pays for the entireCO2 compensation associated with the flight and is therefore the only Swiss provider of helicopter flights to date that endeavors to achieve CO2 neutrality in this form. provider of helicopter flights that is committed toCO2 neutrality in this form.
Switzerland is a typical helicopter country. The topography in the middle of the Alps requires the use of helicopters in various areas. Be it for air rescue, disaster relief, bringing supplies to Alpine huts or mountain farmers as well as infrastructure buildings for tourism, etc...
Helicopters are enormously important means of transport, which have become indispensable.
Importance of helicopter flights for tourism purposes
At first glance, flights for tourism purposes may be an unnecessary burden on people and the environment. It should not be forgotten, however, that the highly impressive capabilities of experienced helicopter pilots can be learned exactly on the basis of these flights.
Therefore our leisure flights have an enormously important function.
Nevertheless, we are convinced that we want to give environmental protection a high priority.
This is why Elite Flights has been operating all flightsCO2-neutral without compromise since 2019.
If you choose Elite Flights, your flight will be certifiedCO2-neutral.

How much does aviation contribute to global CO2-emissions?
The aviation industry contributes about 2.5 - 3% to the global CO2-emissions caused by humans.
How does aCO2-neutral flight work?
The burning of fossil fuels produces carbon dioxide (CO2). These CO2-emissions can be compensated or neutralized by supporting a climate protection project. This is done by supporting a project which saves the amount of CO2 caused. Elite Flights supports a forest protection and reforestation project in the Brazilian Amazon. Find out more about the project by following this link: https://www.carbon-connect.ch/de/projekte/
How are CO2-emissions calculated?
Elite Flights calculates CO2-emissions based on hourly fuel consumption (between 38 and 170 litres of kerosene, depending on the model).
Elite Flights supports the following project
Portel-Pará REDD project that contributes to reducing deforestation in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil.
The Amazon is known for its amazing biodiversity and is home to more than 10% of all species. The project area covers more than 170,000 hectares of rainforest and is expected to avoid more than 20 million tonnes of carbon dioxide.
